Troubleshooting

OrgCanvas autosaves your work, but sometimes things can go wrong. Here's how to diagnose and fix saving issues.

Check your internet connection

OrgCanvas saves to the cloud. If your internet connection drops, saves will fail. Check:

Tip: Use Cmd+S (or Ctrl+S) to manually trigger a save. If the save fails, you'll typically see an error indicator in the app.

Check your session

If you've been idle for a long time, your session may have expired. Try:

  1. Refresh the page
  2. If prompted, sign in again
  3. Your unsaved changes should still be in memory after a refresh — make a change and save again

Browser tab issues

Having the same org chart open in multiple tabs can cause conflicts. Close any duplicate tabs and work from a single tab.

Storage and quota

On the Free plan, you're limited to 25 people total. If you're at the limit and try to add more people, the save may fail for the new additions. Check your current count and consider upgrading to Pro if you need more.
